It seems Facebook-owned WhatsApp is now working on message reactions similar to what we see on Messenger and Facebook. Message reactions let users react to individual messages received on WhatsApp.

The feature isn’t yet live but it could arrive soon. WABetaInfo spotted a notification WhatsApp chat where it suggested a user update the app to see reactions.

As the feature is under development, we don’t know how it could look like. There is no screenshot of what reactions could be available. We expect the same reactions that are available on Messenger. Instagram users also get the same reaction after connecting Instagram chat with Messenger. Now it is WhatsApp’s turn to get the same.

WhatsApp recently added support to transfer your entire chat and message history from iOS to Android. This is a nice addition. Now the company is working on reactions.

What do you guys think about reactions on WhatsApp? Will you like to have message reactions on WhatsApp? Let me know your views in the comments section below.
