Amazon’s Echo devices are now getting popularity in India. There are mainly two reasons for buying this product. One is the built-in Alexa for hands-free operations and other is the good sound quality. But the only issue Indian people were facing is the lack of battery. So, you cannot use Echo speakers without plugging it.

Now the company has acknowledged this issue and has launched a battery loitered Echo device. Amazon calls it Echo Input Portable Smart Speaker Edition. It packs a 4800mAh rechargeable battery to offer 10 hours of continuous music playback. There are also 4 LEDs to check the current battery level.

It is a bit larger than Echo Dot but features are similar. You can use echo Input to enjoy music from Prime Music, Apple Music, JioSaavn, Gaana or Hungama Music. You can also pair it to your phone via Bluetooth.

You can also use it to control your smart home products, check weather data, check traffic condition and ask several kinds of questions. Alexa has more than 30,000+ skills and counting. So, you can use it in a lot of ways.

If I compare it with Echo Dot, Echo Input has a 1.5-inch driver as compared to 1.6-inch in Echo Dot. Echo Input features only Bluetooth connectivity while the Echo dot also offers line out with 3.5 mm cable. All other features are the same but you can carry Echo Input to any room.

Amazon Echo Input is priced at Rs. 4999 and is now available from Amazon.
