Sony has launched its new Sony HT-Z9F Soundbar in the Indian market. It is basically a 3.1 channel soundbar offering Dolby Atmos and DTS:X experience in a single slim unit.

It comes with Sony’s virtual surround engine and S-Force Pro Front Surround technology that offers an impressive cinematic audio environment to any home entertainment setup. It supports 4K HDR and Dolby Vision pass through so the original picture quality is passed through the soundbar directly to the TV without any loss in quality.

I also experienced this tech at a demo zone set up by Sony India and I personally found this really impressive. The virtual surround engine impresses and front firing drivers make an environment where you feel the sound coming from the top.

The remote control also comes with a dedicated button for five optimized sound modes. These modes including Cinema, Music, News, Game, and Sports. Depending on the content you are watching, switch to a specific mode for the better audio experience.

This soundbar comes with 2 HDMI input and 1 output. It has Chromecast built0in. It also has USB and Bluetooth connectivity. SO, you can have several ways to give input to the soundbar.

The soundbar weighs 3.1 kg and the subwoofer weighs 8.1kg. It is rated to deliver 400W total power output.

It also works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. You can ask any of these assistants to perform basic things like change volume level, change tracks or stop the music.

It is priced at Rs. 59,990 and will be available across all Sony Center, major electronic stores and e-commerce portals in India starting July 8.
