boAt has launched its new smart speaker boAt Stone 700A in India. The speaker has Alexa integration and costs Rs. 3199.
Alexa is the voice assistant developed by Amazon. So, you can give voice commands to boAt Stone 700A to achieve different things. The speaker has a dedicated Alexa button to trigger Alexa. You can also use the Boat Nirvana app to use Alexa.
boAt Stone 700A has two 1.75-inch 5W full range drivers. Frequency Response is 95Hz～18KHz and impedance is 4Ω. It features Bluetooth and 3.5 mm audio hack connectivity.
The speaker is IPX6 rated for water and dust resistance. It can also survive accidental drops. So the speaker is perfect for outdoor or pool parties.
It packs 2000 mach battery that claims to offer upto 8 hours of play time. The company claims that the battery can be charged in 3 hours.
The smart speaker segment is limited in India. We have very few options available. With the launch of Boat Stone 700A, now we can expect more players to launch smart speakers. As of now Amazon Echo series with Alexa and the Google Home series with Google Assistant are the primary smart speakers people are buying.
