Moto G (4th Generation) Press Render Leaks, Two devices reportedly pass FCC

With its release scheduled for this Tuesday, a press render for the handset is making its round on the Internet. These renders are shared by phone tipster Evan Blass aka @evleaks, who is known to be a reliable source for such information. Other reports are suggesting that two devices have made their way past the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) certification site and are supposed Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus. According to the documentation, the model numbers for the two devices are XT1622 and XT1642 respectively.

Other than the listing on the FCC website, benchmark listings of popular benchmarking application, Geekbench has also found its way to the internet. According to the information, the G4 will be powered by a Snapdragon 617 processor along with 3GB of RAM. It will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

As we reported earlier, @evleaks had shared the images of the Moto G4 Plus which featured a front-facing fingerprint sensor along with a speaker grill and a rear dimple for the company logo amongst other things.

According to the sources, one of the major differences that are going to be there between the two editions of the Moto G (4th Edition) is going to be the presence of the fingerprint sensor. The G4 Plus may feature a fingerprint sensor whereas the other may not.

Based on the preliminary leaks that have taken place, the G4 may feature a 5.5 inches wide display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. The device may be powered by an octa-core processor along  with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage. In the camera department, the G4 might feature a 13MP rear camera and the G4 Plus a 16MP rear shooter.
