While most of the people are still waiting for Marshmallow update, Google has just launched Android N Developer Preview. The update is available Nexus devices. We were expecting this move after Google’s I/O developer conference. But Google decided to surprise us with the unexpected move.

With Over the Air update, Google has made it easier for developers to install the update and try this developer preview version of Android N.

Google says that it continues to improve Android to make it less memory-hungry and background apps more efficient. We can expect Android N to offer users improved performance. Google will receive feedback from developers to improve it and make Android N better before final rollout.

Most notable feature of Android N is Split screen mode. Apps which support this will be able to run side-by-side with other apps on tablets and mobile phones. Tablet users were asking for this for long time. Android N will also offer picture-in-picture mode.
