68% Smartphone Users in US Enjoy Music Streaming on Daily Basis : Study

68% Smartphone Users in US Enjoy Music Streaming on Daily Basis : Study

Music Streaming Industry is now very big and still growing with good pace. A new study has confirmed that large number users are also using music streaming on the daily basis.  Research firm Parks Associates has published a study claiming that 68 percent of smartphone owners in the United States stream music on their phone daily.

The study claims that overage music streaming time on the smartphone is 45 minutes per day which turns out to be a good signal for music streaming players.

This report confirms that music consumption has gone on music streaming services. Saving songs on mobile phones will be a thing of past in coming months. Services such as Spotify and pandora has revolutionalized the way we used to listen to the songs. Apple Music has also contributed a lot in past few months.

Amazon Prime Music is the leading service offering paid music subscription, and it is more popular among broadband users.

Most of the people listening to music online were using iPhone. The company didn’t specify the share of differents software platform in music streaming. But it confirmes that 75% of subscribers for T-Mobile or Sprint listen to streaming music daily while 66% of Verizon users are enjoying music streaming.

Not just streaming, gaming is now also an important part of people’s like. Smartphone owners spend an average of 28 minutes per day in games on their smartphone. Around 40% of smartphone owners also watch longer video clips including TV shows or movies once a day. If we talk about shorter clips, 71% of smartphone users consume short videos on the daily basis. It confirms that smartphone is slowly becoming the one device for all kind of enjoyment people do at home. It can be music, movies, gaming and Internet browsing.
