Twitter like buttonStarting today, you will not see favourite button in tweet. It is because Twitter has replaced it with a new heart shaped like button. It is now available for Twitter.com, the mobile Twitter app, TweetDeck, and Vine’s Android app. Vine for iOS and Twitter for Mac will get this in coming days.

“We are changing our star icon for favorites to a heart and we’ll be calling them likes. We want to make Twitter easier and more rewarding to use, and we know that at times the star could be confusing, especially to newcomers. You might like a lot of things, but not everything can be your favorite,” Twitter explained in blog post.

Soon after this became available for users, reaction were not in the favour of Twitter. Most of the people were making fun of Twitter for copying this heart shaped button from Instagram. Basically, like has been an important feature of Facebook for past few years. So, few also blaming Twitter for trying to copy Facebook with this feature.

For past few months, Twitter is actively pushing changes and new features to make its microblogging platform more interactive and better. There were many notable changes in messaging and tweeting.
