GTA 6 is giving Jason and Lucia plenty of ways to deal with the criminals, police and other troublemakers they encounter across Leonida. Rockstar has already shown several guns and melee weapons in the trailers and the Extended Look, giving us a good early idea of what players can expect from the arsenal.
The full weapon list has not been revealed yet, so some weapons remain unidentified. The list below only includes weapons or weapon types that have been spotted in official footage or accompanying previews.
GTA 6 Confirmed Weapons
The weapons and weapon types seen so far include:
- Pistols
- Revolvers
- Shotguns
- Assault rifles
- SMGs
- Uzi
- Moreland 850 Shotgun
- Duke 556 Assault Rifle
- Taser
- Molotov cocktails
- Baseball bat
- Hammer
- Melee weapons
- Binoculars
Rockstar has also shown pistols equipped with attachments such as a suppressor and flashlight. These attachments suggest that weapon customization will play a role, although Rockstar has not yet revealed the full range of modifications available in the game.
The footage also shows Jason and Lucia picking up weapons during encounters. This means players will not necessarily have to visit a gun store every time they need something new. Enemies can also become a source of weapons during certain situations.
GTA 6 Weapon Wheel
The Extended Look gives us a better look at how Rockstar has redesigned the weapon selection system.
The weapon wheel is divided into two main sections, with separate screens for weapons and items. The weapons section contains the player’s available firearms and other combat options, while the item section appears to handle useful equipment and consumables.
The wheel has multiple slots for quickly switching between different categories. Pistols, larger weapons, melee options and throwables can be selected without opening a conventional inventory screen.
One interesting addition is the inclusion of equipment such as binoculars in the same interface. This suggests Rockstar is using the wheel for more than simply selecting something to shoot with.
The Extended Look also shows additional icons around the interface that appear to represent usable items. One of them resembles a medicine bottle, suggesting that healing items can be accessed directly during gameplay. The exact effects of the other items have not been confirmed yet.
Ammu-Nation Returns
Ammu-Nation appears to be returning as a place where players can obtain weapons and ammunition. The Extended Look shows a gun store, including a shop owner carrying a shotgun.
However, buying weapons will not be the only way to acquire them. The footage shows Jason and Lucia picking up weapons during encounters, giving players another way to expand their available arsenal.
Rockstar has not yet revealed the complete weapon economy, so we still do not know how much individual weapons or ammunition will cost or whether there will be additional weapon vendors across Leonida.
More Weapons Are Expected
The current list should not be considered the final GTA 6 arsenal. Rockstar has only shown selected weapons through trailers, gameplay footage and previews, and several weapons are visible only for a few seconds.
There are also weapons that can be identified only by their general type rather than their exact model. More pistols, rifles, shotguns, melee weapons and explosives are likely to be revealed before launch.
One weapon that has been specifically associated with the game’s Ultimate Edition is the Hawk & Little Morgan revolver. Rockstar has not yet provided a complete breakdown of every weapon included with each edition, so players should treat the current list as a work in progress.
GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, and Rockstar is expected to reveal more about its weapons and equipment as the release approaches.
