Facebook’s desire to be a one place for everything forced it to launch a crowdfunding tool. Facebook has announced a new crowdfunding tool ‘Fundraisers’ that allows nonprofits to set up a campaign page and raise funds for good causes.

Facebook has also improved its donate button and now people can donate for a cause without leaving Facebook. With this new tool, nonprofits can setup a campaign to raise funds for a cause and can spread this campaign to millions of users interested in donating. nonprofits can share their story, collect donations, track the fundraising and goal.

People will be able to donate in just few clicks and donations will also be shared on their wall. All shared posts will also have donate button to encourage more people in donating for the cause.

It is worth to mention that this tool is just for nonprofits. But, I am sure this is just a testing and Facebook will surely expand this tool for people who would like to raise funds for other causes. I we go and past, we can remember the donate button which was followed by a buy button. But, there is no confirmation from Facebook. We are just assuming by looking at past. Facebook is trying to integrate each and everything to let people be on Facebook all the time.

Donate button for Pages and posts

Not just this fundraiser tool, Facebook has also added a new ‘Donate’ button for nonprofit pages. Adding this ‘Donate’ button to Facebook pages will help nonprofits in collecting donations without sharing any posts asking for it. People visiting page can click on the button and donate.
