HP Roar is a wireless speaker offering good music. Let me make it clear that this is not a newly launched product. But I am adding a review to help you if you are thinking to buy this device. This speaker is available in both online and offline stores. Online, it is available on official HP India store.

In box accessories:
It brings a USB cable to charge the speaker, user manuals and audio output cable to connect it with laptop or mobile phones over 3.5 mm jack.
Design:
Design of the speaker is good. It is not premium but it is good and pleasant. Best part is that it comes in three different colors in which body remains same but the color of sides changes. I received it in blue which looks awesome. It has power button, 3.5 mm audio jack, and microUSB port at the right side. At the left side, it has volume buttons and a button to receive calls.
Weight of the speaker is less than 500 grams. So, I can say that it is light while it has body of 6.81 x 3.07 x 2.91 inches dimensions. Body of the speaker is triangular which makes it easy to hold it in hand. Gripping is also fine. Body is solid, so it can survive in normal drops.
Compatibility:
It is compatible across all devices having a Bluetooth or a 3.5 mm audio connector. I tested it with Macbook air, Lenovo G500, iPhone 6 Plus, iPod Touch 4th gen, Moto G 3rd gen, Moto G 2nd, Moto G, Xiaomi Redmi 1S. It worked without any issue.

Performance:
Sound quality of the device is good. Base effect of the speaker is also better than my expectation. Company claims that it comes with “Enhanced sound with Smart Amp technology”. I must say that you will feel how good it performs. It is loud and clear. So, you can enjoy music even on the go.
You can also receive calls and listen to voice of caller in speaker. Call receiving button it at the left side of the speaker.
Good thing is that multiple devices can simultaneously connect to this speaker over Bluetooth. But one cannot overtake previous device to play something. Existing device will have to stop song to give other device a chance to use this speaker.
Battery:
Company didn’t mention the battery capacity added in the speaker. After using it for few days, I found that it lasts for around 7 hours continuously using it to play music.
My verdict
HP Roar wireless speaker comes with good design and offers good sound experience. At this price, it offers value for money. If you are thinking to buy a wireless speaker, you can buy this.
