Facebook buy buttonFew months back, Facebook added buy and sell options in groups. Now, it is working to make Facebook page a place to sell items. It is testing buy buttons for pages to sell digital goods. It means, you will have a shop on Facebook.

This new online shop on Facebook page actually makes sense. We already have option to pay via messenger and chat. This payment process can be used in this new online shop. Customers can talk over messages and then decide what product to buy.

We cannot say the performance of the shop on social network. But, it will surely improve Facebook’s ad revenue. Facebook has already dropped the reach of pages. To sell the products on Facebook, page owners will have to boost the post and put money on advertisement. It will also help Facebook in collecting more data about a person’s interest by using order history. So, it will be able to see better recommendations to help advertisers.

The feature is still in testing and we cannot say when it will be available for page owners. If you own an online store, be ready to shop on Facebook too.
