Music streaming service Saavn has launched “Live@Saavn”, a new series of live acoustic shows and interviews with Indian and international music artists. Company will host and record the session at its Mumbai headquarter. Videos will also be uploaded on YouTube for fans.
With this new move, Saavn aims to connect its users with artists they listen.
Los Angeles-based indie-rock band Young the Giant were first to be featured in Live@saavn. This was hosted with the help of Sony Music India and Gibson Guitars. You can listen the first session in the video attached at the end of the posts. Name of other artists in pipeline will be announcing in coming weeks. I recommend you to subscribe Saavn to get latest updates on upcoming artists.

This is very interesting move by Saavn similar to MTV Unplugged. It will surely attract music lovers. Unplugged sessions are really popular in India.
At this time, there is no live streaming of the sessions. But if the response will be good, company will surely think of hosting live streaming.
