Internet explorer

It looks like Microsoft has also realized that its Internet Explorer is not doing well for the company. According to ZDnet, company is working on a light weight browser that supports extensions much similar to Google Chrome and Firefox. This new browser ix expected to come with Windows 10.

This new browser will still use the IE layout engine Trident and Javascript engine Chakra. This browser will be available for both desktop and mobile devices.

On January 21, Microsoft may showcase this new browser at Windows 10 event in Redmond, Washington. This browser is dubbed as IE “Spartan” where spartan word is the code name of the browser and name will be confirmed at the time of official announcement.

If news is true, this will be a good move by the company. There was a time when Internet explorer had more than 90% market share but it has dropped to 58% and still decreasing. People are frustrated with its slow browsing problems. This is why most of the people have already switched to other browsers.

Now there is a big question. Will this new browser be available for other platforms including ANdroid, iOS or Mac. I think there is the possibility and if not, it should. But only if Microsoft is confirm enough that this browser is able enough to compete with Chrome and other browsers.
