Google Launches Chrome extension End-to-End for Secure Sending Email in the browser

Today, Google launched a new Google Chrome extension ‘End-to-End‘ for sending and receiving emails securely in browser. This security Google Chrome extension provides end to end encryption for your emails.

“End-to-end encryption means data leaving your browser will be encrypted until the message’s intended recipient decrypts it, and that similarly encrypted messages sent to you will remain that way until you decrypt them in your browser,” Google explains.

Anyone can use End-to-End to send and receive encrypted emails through their existing web based email provides. They only need to use Google Chrome.

This Google Chrome extension was built upon the new Javascript based crypto library. This Chrome extension is not available in Google Chrome Web Store. But the source code for the tool is available online. Google also confirmed that the extension is included in the Vulnerability Reward Program of Google. Once Google feels that extension is ready, it will be available in Chrome store for all users.

Security researchers, it is the time to get more bounty by finding the vulnerability in this Chrome extensions.
