Today, Microsoft has officially launched OneDrivere-branded version of SkyDrive. Few days back Microsoft has announced that it has renamed its cloud storage service to OneDrive. SkyDrive users can access their files on OneDrive.com.

Smartphone users do not need to uninstall their SkyDrive app and download OneDrive. If their mobile platform supports, new app will automatically replace the old app.

What is new in OneDrive? Most notable feature of ability to share and view videos as easy as you can do with photos. Android users can automatically upload their camera photos to OneDrive. If you are using camera backup feature, you will also get 3GB extra storage. If you are using Office web apps, you will enjoy real time co-authoring.

Microsoft also rewards up to 5GB for user referral (500 MB for each referral). If you need more storage, you can upgrade your plan. OneDrive is available for all desktop and mobile platforms. It is built into the latest Windows, Windows Phone, Xbox and Office. You can also make OneDrive default storage option to get backup of your important data.

Microsoft is also offering 100 GB of free storage to 100,000 people. You only need to follow OneDrive on Twitter to get the updates.
