Amazon has launched its brand new tablet named Amazon New Kindle Paperwhite in India. It was announced back in September.  It is now available on Amazon India and across 250 retail outlets across India. The starting price of the tablet is Rs 10,999 for Wi-Fi version and Rs 13,999 for the Wi-Fi + 3G version. It will be available in India from 4th February. The company has taken care of the price as it is same previous generation Kindle Paperwhite.

Talking about the features, Amazon New Kindle Paperwhite comes in new display technology and equipped with a better contrast such as improved display light and a faster processor. There is also a new touch technology claimed by Amazon that will better the touch sensitivity and accuracy. There is a new feature called Free Time that helps parents make some titles from their library available to their kids and they can track their progress.

The company is also tied up with Vodafone in India to provide the 3G services but if the user will do the normal surfing Amazon has restricted it to the Amazon’s Kindle store and Wikipedia. other features include capacitive touchscreen with touchscreen UI and LED lighting array, e-ink displays, Increased the contrast as Compared to previous version, Weighs 222 grams and 9.1 mm thick.
