Sonos has announced the launch of its latest portable wireless speaker, Sonos Move 2 in India. The speaker comes with a rugged body and promises good sound performance.

Sonos Move 2 features an IP56-certified build that shields it against rain, dust, drops, and sun exposure. At the top, it has a touch-sensitive slider for easy control for sound. There are also buttons to control playback and mute/unmute the mic. The speaker weighs around 3 kg. SO, you can move it around the house or take it to your balcony. However, it is not ideal to carry in a bag.

The speaker is made to offer should outdoor performance. It features automatic Trueplay tuning that dynamically adjusts sound based on the surroundings. It also offers an enhanced acoustic system with dual tweeters for stereo separation and a precision-tuned woofer for deeper bass.

It has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi streaming support along with a stereo pairing feature. The device is also compatible with the Sonos Line-In Adapter to connect to devices like computers or turntables. The speaker also supports Sonos Voice Control, Amazon Alexa, and Apple AirPlay 2.

The company promises up to 24 hours of playback, which is double the battery life of its original Move.

The Sonos Move 2 is priced at Rs. 49,999 and is available starting today. You can purchase it from the Sonos India website, Amazon.in, and other authorized retail partners.

Pricing of Sonos Move 2 seems disappointing. You are getting Rich stereo sound, Wi-Fi + Bluetooth streaming, AirPlay 2 support, voice command support, Automatic Trueplay EQ, and Multi-room Sonos ecosystem compatibility. But the primary disappointment is the lack of aptX or LDAC codec support. We can get good speakers from brands like Bose and Marshall for much lesser price. JBL Charge 5, Marshall Emberton II, or Bose SoundLink Flex are some notable products.
