Indian Govt Launches Bus Booking Portal BusIndia.com

Indian government has launched an integrated bus ticket booking system BusIndia.com. Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways Mr. Oscar Fernandez has launched this portal in an event at New Delhi.

This portal has been developed by Radiant Info, IT solution provider based in Bangalore. Company also claimed to be India’s first and largest bus passenger reservation system. Radiant is already powering many state government’s bus ticketing system.

BusIndia.com will integrate bus ticketing platform of most of the regional state transport corporations including Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation Limited (TNSTC)—SETC, TNSTC (Madurai), TNSTC (Kumbakonam), Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC); Meghalaya Transport Corporation (MTC); Punjab—PEPSU Road Transport Corporation, Patiala, and PUNBUS, Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) and many more.

After the launch of this portal, existing rivals including Redbus.in will face touch competition. BusIndia.com already announced that they are planning to raise over Rs. 200 Cr from a private funding. Reports also claims that BusIndia.com is already bigger than redbus.  Reports also confirms that it is the biggest bus reservation system.
