India is a big market for smartphones and tablets. Google also knows that India play major role in the success of its Android OS. To promote Android in India, Now Google is planning to jump in retail market with its Android Nation stores.

Google partners Spice to open Android Nation stores in India

For its retail stores, Google is in talks with Spice Global to set up stores in various Indian cities. New Delhi will be the first city to get Android nation store later this year. Google has been scouting for a 1,200-1,500 sq ft location in New Delhi’s Select Citywalk.

India is the second country to get the official Android retail store. Firt Android Nation store was set up in Indonesia in mid 2012.

Spice already has its retail store, Spice Hotspot in various cities across in India. Spice Hotspot sells various mobile phones, tablets and accessories. After the success of first Android Nation, other Spice Hotspot will be converted into Android nation store.

In India, consumers want to physically feel the device before buying. This kind of stores will surely boost the Nexus devices sale in country. These stores will also help people to know more about Android apps, their device’s compatibility and many other things about Android.
