It seems that Facebook is working on new timeline design. New Zealand users are first to get this test design. This new design added a left column containing your info, friends, pictures and likes. See the picture below, posted by Read Write.

Facebook is trying to gibe timeline a design which shows most of the data of the user in single view. So, Facebook has been testing timeline design for past few months. If the testing is failed, Facebook rolled back the changes.

In past few months, we have seen many features testing and many new features rolled out. And for the testing, New Zealand is favorite testing ground for Facebook. Most of the new design testing have been seen in this country.
