Microsoft will launch Windows 8 by the end of this month, but you can now pre-order a copy of Windows 8 Pro now. Microsoft has announced this in a blog post. It also revealed that users will have to pay only $69.99 for the copy of Windows 8 and a physical DVD copy will be mailed to him. Various Windows 8 systems (PCs and tablets) unveiled over the last few months are also now up for pre-order.

“Starting today, you can reserve a packaged DVD of the upgrade to Windows 8 Pro for $69.99 USD ERP* (U.S.) at select retailers. When you receive your copy of the Windows 8 Pro upgrade, you’ll see that the packaging takes a fresh approach, in the reimagining of Windows,” Microsoft announced.

Microsoft has also prepared 5 type of packaging which you can see on company’s Facebook album.

Windows 8 Pro is available for pre-order via Amazon.com, Best Buy, Staples, Office Depot and the Microsoft Store. You can also check your local stores because there are many more in the list.

You can also update your existing windows to Windows 8 after October 26 via Windows.com using the Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant. It will only cost you just $39.99 USD. This online upgrade is possible in only 28 countries.
