Google has finally added a Do Not Track privacy option in the latest Google Chrome developer build.

When Do Not Track is enabled in the Google Chrome, Websites and advertisers will not be able to trace users for ad targeting purposes. This can create problems for advertising companies for ad targeting.

Google spokesperson told AllThingsD, “We undertook to honor an agreement on DNT that the industry reached with the White House early this year. To that end we’re making this setting visible in our Chromium developer channel, so that it will be available in upcoming versions of Chrome by year’s end.”

This is not he first time when a browser adds Do Not Track feature. Mozilla had already added this feature in the browser and Opera also offered it in Opera 12. It is also available in Safari and Internet Explorer. Microsoft is also planning to add Do Not Track Privacy setting by default in the next Internet Explorer.

But this may create a big topic of discussion. When this features will be enabled in the browser, it will add a “DNT:1” request header in the browser. But it is not necessary that website and advertiser will consider this header. users will think that they are not being traced but in real this things are not the same.
