Adobe is also in those company which are dropping support for Microsoft Windows XP operating system. According to the blog post by company, Adobe Photoshop CS6 is the last version of Photoshop that will work on Windows XP. Later version of Photoshop will only work on higher version of Windows than Windows XP.

“The Photoshop team would like to provide advanced notice that Photoshop CS6 (13.0) will be the last major version of Photoshop to support Windows XP,” Tom Hogarty, Adobe Product Manager, said in a blog post.

“All subsequent Photoshop feature updates specifically for Creative Cloud members will no longer support Windows XP,” He added.

Adobe wants to make products with better performance that can use the latest technology. Although there are millions of Windows XP users in the World, company wants those users to upgrade their systems to latest version of operating system.

“Photoshop CS6 already demonstrates that relying on a modern operating system, graphics cards/GPUs and graphics drivers can lead to substantial improvements in 3D, Blur Gallery and Lighting Effect features not available to Windows XP customers,” He added.

To take the full advantage of Photoshop’s innovations, users must migrate to other latest Windows versions.

Yesterday, Google Apps team also announced to drop support for IE8 and older. Windows XP comes with IE 8 so we can say that Google apps has dropped support for Windows XP. All those users who does not want to upgrade thier operating system can use other web browser to enjoy those features that will not supported by IE8.

But there is no solution for next version of Adobe Photoshop. If you are also Windows XP lover, I will advise you to upgrade to Windows 7 or wait few days and then try Windows 8. That will help you to get more innovative software products with better speedy performance.
