At Google I/O, Google has announced that Google+ app is also coming for Android tablets. This app will be available for Android tablets beginning later Wednesday. Google+ app for iPad is also coming soon.
This app features the same look as in the smartphone app and will allow users to slide left to right to see what’s posted in their stream. The tablet version shows photos popular on Google+ in larger versions, said Vic Gundotra, a Google senior vice president speaking at the company’s Google I/O show here today.
This app also includes hangout feature which allows users to do video chat in groups.
Gundotra also disclosed that 150 million people use Google+ on a monthly basis. He also added that half of them log in on Google+ daily. They spend 12 minutes per day in the stream (a.k.a. newsfeed) on average. He added that more users are engaging from mobile than desktop devices.
