Fedora 15 Reaches End Of Life

Now its time to say “Good Bye” to Fedora 15. Fedora 15 (Lovelock) operating system will reach end of life (EOL) in three weeks, on June 26th, 2012.

This operating system was released on 12th May 2011 and was powered by powered by Linux kernel 2.6.38. It came with lots of new features and new tools inbuilt.

For all Fedora 15 users, Fedora project has announced that users will no longer receive security/critical fixes and software updates, and no new packages will be added. Some key features includes dynamic firewall, Mozilla Firefox 4, LibreOffice 3, a new full-text search tool, and a new double-entry accounting system.

All users are advised to upgrade their fedora version and go for the most recent version Fedora 17 as soon as possible
