facebook To Generate $1 Billion by Social Gaming

World’s most popular social networking website facebook is expecting to generate $1 billion revenue from social gaming this year.  The prediction was made by a leading Internet Entrepreneur and Former Chief Executive of online advertising giant DoubleClick, Kevin Ryan, during his interview with Reuters this week. He also added that the most part of the revenue will come from the advertising.

Gaming is also an important part of Facebook revenue which earns billion dollar for the company. But this huge number of users account help facebook to attract more advertisers. Advertisers know that their brand will surely get attention of Facebook.

At present facebook has more than 750 million active users which attracts potential advertisers on the facebook. The main developer of social games on the facebook, Zynga has filed for an IPO (initial public offering) on friday for $1billion and the IPO for facebook is also expected to be around $100 billion.

Although Facebook is growing, but it is still far behind from Google which is generate most only from advertising.
