Facebook will also show the count of reactions. Tapping on it will show a full list of who left which Reaction. This will be useful in group conversation.

Messenger reactions differ from the reactions we use in News Feed. Most notable difference is the dislike button that is now available on News feed.

Facebook has confirmed this new testing feature to Techcrunch and confirmed that dislike button can be used to say no and will be helpful while making some plans. So thumbs up and thumbs down are basically Yes or no.

Facebook’s reactions are quite successful and over a 300 billion have been sent so far. ‘Love’ is the most frequently used reactions. So, Facebook wants to expand this feature and add it to Messenger. This will make your conversation better and interesting.

It is worth to note that Slack had Emoji reactions before added threaded conversations and this feature was successful. So, Facebook can use it in Work Chat.
