Today, Lava has launched a new smartphone Lava Iris 504q at an event in Delhi. This new smartphone features gesture control for performing various tasks. It is priced at Rs. 13,499.
Lava Iris 504q features a 1.2 GHz MediaTek processor and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It comes with 1 GB RAM. It features a 5 inch HD 720p display. It has a 8 megapixel camera at the back of the device that can capture high quality video. Camera can also record full HD 1080p videos. It also has a 2 megapixel camera at front for video calls.
It has 4 GB internal storage, 2 GB available for user. MicroSD card supports memory card up to 32 GB. It has 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, USB OTG and GPS connectivity features. It is packed with 2000 mAh battery that can perform well on these specifications and gives full day battery backup.
Lava Iris 504q features gesture control to change music, browse photo gallery, capture pohtographs just by hovering your hand over the device. The phone will click pictures if you wave your hand from right to left in front of the screen
It also supports over the air updates, so you will receive all the updates direct on the device. Lava has also partnered with Hungama to offer music tracks, music videos , trailers, dialogues, wallpapers and ringtones. It also comes with Modern Combact game.

At this price, company is offering good features. If you compare it with other smartphones of similar price range, it seems that Lava is winning with its gesture control feature. It has everything including a quad core processor, HD display, good camera with full HD recording. Micromax has also teased its new Canvas 4 that will be available by the end of this month. But we do not know much about Canvas 4. We hope some better features that Canvas HD this time because Samsung and other Indian smartphone manufacturers are now launching quad core smartphones at same price range.
