LG has launched its new AX series of semi-automatic washing machines in India. The new range includes 15 models with capacities ranging from 8kg to 12kg. The lineup is aimed at different family sizes and laundry requirements, with features focused on better washing, lint removal and faster drying.
The new LG AX semi-automatic washing machines come with several features designed to address common laundry problems such as detergent residue, stubborn stains, lint buildup and slow drying. The machines also get a new exterior design with a box-type body and are available in multiple colour options.
The new washing machines feature LG’s Dual Spin Shower technology. It uses two powerful water inlets to rinse clothes and help remove detergent residue after washing.
The machines also feature a Roller Jet Pulsator+. Its design is inspired by a whale tail and creates dynamic water movement inside the washing tub. LG says this helps improve the circulation of clothes and remove stubborn dirt while taking care of fabrics.
For heavily soiled clothes, the Ultra Scrub Wall provides a dedicated scrub pattern designed to target areas such as collars and cuffs. The machines also feature a new Smart Filter that captures lint during the wash cycle. The filter can be removed and cleaned when needed.
LG has also focused on drying performance. The Wind Jet Dry+ system uses powerful airflow during the spinning process to remove excess moisture from clothes. This can help reduce drying time, especially when clothes need to be dried quickly.
The new AX range comes with 3+1 wash programs for different laundry requirements. LG has also included Rat Away Technology, which is designed to provide additional protection and durability.
The new LG AX semi-automatic washing machines feature a strong box-type body with a patterned exterior and durable control knobs. The range will be available in Onyx Black, Middle Black and Burgundy colour options.
Select models come with a Toughened Glass Lid with a soft-closing mechanism. It is designed to improve durability while also making the lid quieter when it is closed.
LG is manufacturing the new AX semi-automatic washing machine range at its Greater Noida facility. The company describes the facility as an Industry 5.0-centric smart factory.
The facility uses AI-enabled smart factory operations, automation, robotics and automated guided vehicles (AGVs) for production and logistics. LG says its manufacturing process includes 100% quality checks, AI vision inspection and testing in NABL-accredited laboratories.
These systems are aimed at improving production accuracy, quality control and operational efficiency.
LG AX Semi-Automatic Washing Machine Price and Availability
LG has not announced the prices of the new AX semi-automatic washing machines in India yet. The company is also expected to announce retail availability details closer to the rollout.
LG plans to start exporting the new AX range in 2027. The company is targeting more than 10 countries for exports.
