OPPO has officially announced the new OPPO A7 Pro Max in China. The latest A-series smartphone focuses on durability and battery life, featuring a massive 10,000mAh battery, Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processor, and an IP69K-rated rugged design.
The smartphone will go on sale in China starting August 7.
The OPPO A7 Pro Max features a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display with a resolution of 2772 × 1272 pixels. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 330Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 1,800 nits peak brightness.
The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset based on a 4nm process. The processor offers a maximum clock speed of 2.4GHz and is paired with up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.
The device runs Android 16 with ColorOS 16. OPPO has also added AI-based security features, including full-scene AI anti-fraud protection.
OPPO A7 Pro Max comes with a dual rear camera setup. The phone includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor. On the front, there is a 50-megapixel autofocus ultra-wide-angle camera for selfies and video calls. The device supports video recording at up to 1080p resolution.
It has an in-display optical fingerprint sensor and an Infrared sensor. Connectivity options are 5G SA / NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, USB Type-C, and NFC.
OPPO A7 Pro Max packs a huge 10,000mAh battery. OPPO claims the battery can retain more than 80% of its capacity after 1,500 charging cycles. The company claims the phone can deliver up to 24 hours of continuous short-video streaming on a single charge.
The smartphone supports 80W fast charging and supports multiple charging protocols, including 55W PPS, 44W UFCS, and 13.5W PD. It also supports 27W wired reverse charging, allowing users to charge other devices.
The OPPO A7 Pro Max is designed for users who need a durable smartphone. It comes with IP69K, IP69, IP68, and IP66 ratings for dust and water resistance. According to OPPO, the phone has passed seven military-standard environmental tests.
The phone is available in three colour options: Riding the Waves, Orange, and Black. The Riding the Waves variant features a 3D embossed texture on the rear panel.
The rear camera module takes inspiration from the classic OPPO A103 phone, and the back panel also features a multifunctional ambient light that displays notifications, incoming calls, and charging status.
OPPO A7 Pro Max Price and Availability
The OPPO A7 Pro Max is available in three configurations in China:
- 8GB + 128GB: 2,199 yuan
- 12GB + 256GB: 2,699 yuan
- 12GB + 512GB: 2,999 yuan
The smartphone is currently available for pre-order in China and will go on sale starting August 7. OPPO has not announced any details about its global or India launch yet.
