POVA has introduced a new colour option for the POVA 8 5G in India. Called Plasma Orange, the new variant adds a bright finish to the smartphone while retaining the distinctive design elements of the existing model, including its triangular camera module and secondary display on the rear panel.

The new colour joins the 16-Bit White and Terminal Green options launched in June. The POVA 8 5G Plasma Orange is priced at Rs. 29,999 and is available through retail outlets across the country from today.
The company is also offering instant bank cashback of up to Rs. 2,000 for customers using credit or debit cards from participating major banks.
The Plasma Orange variant does not bring hardware changes to the POVA 8 5G. Its main difference is the new exterior finish, while the phone retains the angular design of the existing variants.
The smartphone features a 6.76-inch FHD+ flat LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor, an octa-core 6nm chipset with a clock speed of up to 2.4GHz and Mali-G610 GPU.
The phone comes with 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Storage can also be expanded using a microSD card through the hybrid SIM slot. On the software side, the POVA 8 5G runs Android 16 with HiOS 16.
The phone has a 50-megapixel primary rear camera using the Sony LYT-600 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and LED flash. It can record 2K video at 30fps. The front camera is a 13-megapixel unit with an f/2.2 aperture and supports 2K 30fps video recording.
Other hardware features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an IR sensor and a bottom-firing speaker setup with Dolby Atmos. The phone also has dual microphones and an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.
The POVA 8 5G measures 165.66 x 78.46 x 8.8mm and weighs 225 grams.
The connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA with support for 20 5G bands, dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, USB Type-C and NFC. The phone packs 8000mAh battery, which supports 45W fast charging.
