Cooperative survival horror game Dark Hours is finally coming to consoles. Developer Piece of Cake Studios has confirmed that the game will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on April 22. The game will be priced at $14.99.
The game is already available on PC. It first launched in Early Access on Steam on October 24, 2024. The full version was released on October 23, 2025. Since then, it has sold over 500,000 copies.
Dark Hours is a co-op survival horror game that supports up to four players. The game mixes heist planning with horror survival. Players enter a location to complete a robbery, but things quickly go wrong when a monster takes over the building. The team must then survive, complete objectives, and escape.
The console version brings all the content available on PC. The game features eight different monsters, each with its own abilities and weaknesses. Players can use more than 50 heist items, including hacking tools, EMP grenades, scanners, cameras, and more.
There are 60 maps spread across five environments. These include auction houses, casinos, museums, nuclear power plants, and cruise ships. Players can complete over 12 mission objectives such as stealing artifacts, destroying evidence, or escaping with loot.
The game also includes three mafia factions. Players can build their reputation and unlock new items and customization options. There are more than 100 customization items available in the game.
Dark Hours offers four difficulty levels, including a Nightmare mode for experienced players. It also includes puzzles, traps, and mini-games that add more challenge.
One of the highlights is the player-versus-player-versus-environment mode. In this mode, two teams of robbers compete against each other while also dealing with monsters. There are also three additional game modes, including Golden Rabbit, Curling, and Red Light Green Light.
The console version will support cross-play and an online friends system. This will allow players on different platforms to play together.
