WARDOGS has made a surprisingly strong debut on PC. The multiplayer FPS from BULKHEAD launched in Early Access on September 10 and has already reached an all-time peak of 337,157 concurrent players on Steam in less than 24 hours.

At the time of writing, more than 247,000 players are still playing WARDOGS, which means the game has retained a substantial part of its launch audience even before its first full day is over. You can track performance through WARDOGS Steam Charts page.

The launch is also generating considerable attention on Twitch. WARDOGS currently has around 319,000 viewers across more than 3,600 live channels, with its 24-hour peak reaching 343,007 viewers. Our Twitch game statistics show just how closely the game’s streaming popularity is tracking its PC player activity.

These numbers suggest that WARDOGS is benefiting from both sides of the multiplayer launch cycle. A large player base keeps matchmaking active and creates more content for streamers, while high Twitch visibility can bring even more players into the game. The two numbers should not be added together because there is likely significant overlap between players and viewers, but the scale of both is still notable.

WARDOGS is also arriving in a crowded FPS market, which makes the early response more interesting. Its 100-player matches, three-team battles, large sandbox map, vehicles, base building, and environmental destruction give it a clear identity instead of making it another conventional team-based shooter.

The more important question is what happens after the launch window. A large Early Access launch can be driven by curiosity, streamers, and accumulated pre-release hype, and WARDOGS will need to keep players interested once that initial excitement settles. Its current numbers give BULKHEAD a strong foundation, but sustained player activity over the coming weeks will be a much better indication of whether the game has found a long-term audience.

WARDOGS is currently available on Steam Early Access. BULKHEAD has also confirmed plans for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions in 2028/
