Qualcomm launches Snapdragon X Platform in India to expand Copilot+ PC Reach

Qualcomm has introduced the Snapdragon X platform in India to bring AI-powered personal computing devices to a wider audience. It was initially introduced back in CES 2025 and is positioned to deliver Copilot+ PC experiences.

The Snapdragon X platform features a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) delivering 45 TOPS (trillions of operations per second) of AI performance. Qualcomm also highlighted the advantages of its Qualcomm Oryon CPU which boasts up to 163% faster performance at ISO power compared to competitors, which require 168% more power for similar performance levels. The integrated Qualcomm Adreno GPU is designed to handle graphics-intensive tasks, including content creation, web browsing, and media streaming.

Snapdragon X Platform

Snapdragon X platform aims to provide a balance of performance, power efficiency, and affordability. It also integrates 5G and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity for seamless internet access. Other notable features are the Snapdragon Sound Technology Suite and Advanced privacy features.

  • Display: Adreno DPU, up to QHD+120 Hz HDR10.
  • VPU: 4K UHD 30 fps recording and playback.
  • Camera: Qualcomm Spectra ISP, up to 36 MP.
  • Audio: Qualcomm Aqstic and aptX technology.
  • Connectivity: Snapdragon X65 5G Modem-RF, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, USB 4.0.

The first devices featuring the Snapdragon X platform in India include the ASUS Vivobook 16 and ASUS Zenbook A14. Both models start at Rs. 65,990 and are currently available for pre-order.

Qualcomm has also announced partnerships with retailers like Croma and Flipkart for sales and customer experience. The company recently launched an offline Experience Zone at Croma in Mumbai. Devices, powered by the Snapdragon X platform, will also be available through Flipkart Minutes. So, consumers will also enjoy delivery within 10 minutes.
