Qualcomm has announced the Snapdragon X Platform, the latest addition to its Snapdragon X Series compute portfolio. The new platform promises to deliver enhanced performance, multi-day battery life, and advanced Copilot+ PC experiences.
The Snapdragon X Platform is powered by an 8-core Qualcomm Oryon CPU, which offers up to 163% faster performance at ISO-power compared to its competitors. Remarkably, it achieves this with 168% less power consumption at ISO performance. So, it provides a balanced choice for users seeking both efficiency and robust performance. The platform also has integrated 45 TOPS NPUs to enhance Copilot+ PC experiences.
It is also equipped with a power-efficient Qualcomm Adreno GPU and supports dynamic graphics suitable for diverse tasks such as presentations, web browsing, and content streaming. It also promises over 50 NPU-powered AI experiences.
Qualcomm also confirms that Windows 11 apps for Snapdragon platforms are growing. More than 50 NPU-powered apps are already offering AI experiences natively on Snapdragon. These native apps now include 20 of the most popular VPNs, 50 of the most popular security apps, and cloud storage apps.
