Elden Ring Nightreign, a standalone co-op adventure, is set to launch on May 30 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. This is a survival action game that demands quick decision-making and teamwork.
Elden Ring Nightreign is a three-player PvE co-op survival game. It is set in the perilous world of Limveld where players need to survive the relentless Night’s Tide, a mechanic that steadily contracts the play area over time. Every session has an intense boss battle. So, upgrading characters and strategizing as a team before is important for survival.
The game retains the core combat mechanics of Elden Ring and also introduces several new abilities, including wall jumping, air traversal using Spectral Hawks, and sprinting akin to riding Torrent. It is important to note that the game has removed the fall damage.
Nightreign also has a unique revival system that lets players rescue downed allies by attacking them. Locking onto a fallen teammate allows for long-range rescues, but repeated knockdowns extend the revival meter. During the day, failing to revive a teammate results in death and respawn, but at night, players remain incapacitated until saved.
Elden Ring Nightreign delivers challenging boss fights that test skill and coordination. A full three-day-and-night cycle lasts 35-40 minutes. It requires players to plan their approach, coordinate attacks, upgrade flasks, and share weapons to ensure victory.
Elden Ring Nightreign officially launches on May 30. Interested gamers can enjoy early access to the upcoming network test starting February 14.
The game costs $40 and the deluxe version is priced at $55. The deluxe version includes a few cosmetic additions and the game’s DLC. The game is already up for pre-order via PlayStation Store, Xbox Game Store, and Steam.
