ELom Musk-owned X is now ready to launch a payments app called X Money. The payments app will be launched later this year with Visa as a partner. X CEO Linda Yaccarino announced the news on X.

Her tweet confirms that the X Money app will support person-to-person payments via debit cards. The app will use Visa Direct, Visa’s real-time money transfer service for payments. It could also be used to fund X Money’s wallet.

When Musk took over the company, he promised to add financial services to X. Now the company is finally delivering it. However, the service could be limited to selected states first before coming to other regions.

Initially, the service could be used to allow X creators to receive payments and store funds independently.
