Nvidia has made it easier to install GeForce Now on Steam Deck. The company has released a GeForce Now installer for Steam Deck to bring hundreds of streamable titles to the handheld gaming console.
The company has basically released a script that automatically installs Google Chrome, configures it to enable gamepad use, and installs the GeForce Now shortcut to the Steam library.
Steam Deck is a good handheld gaming console but it struggles with performance on some games. So, gamers don’t get the same visual quality as they get on gaming PCs or high-end consoles. So, playing games via cloud gaming seems a better idea for enjoying games without losing quality.
With GeForce Now, Steam Deck owners can play their favorite games on Nvidia hardware and stream them to their console. Before the release of this launcher, installing GeForce Now on Steam Deck was a complex process. Once you install the launcher, you will get a GeForce Now shortcut. If you want to configure GeForce Now in Edge on Steam Deck, Nvidia has manual instructions for doing this.

Now that GeForce Now is easy to install on Steam Deck, I think Microsoft will follow the same and will release a similar and easier way to install and configure Xbox Cloud Gaming on the Steam Deck.
Nvidia has also upgraded GeForce Now’s web app to make it easier to use it with Steam Deck or other handheld consoles. So, it is now easier to find and play supported titles with NVIDIA DLSS technology without caring about your handheld’s system specs.
The company is also launching seven new games this week.
- Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice
- Stormgate Closed Beta
- Gray Zone Warfare
- MotoGP24
- FOUNDRY
- INDIKA
- Orcs Must Die! 3
