YouTube Music has now started rolling out offline download feature for desktop users. Previously, the feature was only available on YouTube Music mobile apps. Now desktop users can also download their favourite songs and listen to them without an active internet connection.

The feature was first spotted by 9to5Google that published a detailed report of this feature

On a song page or an album page, you will see a download button. Clicking on it will download the song or album. Then you will get a new Downloads tab on the Library page to access the downloaded content. There are also filters by Playlists, Podcasts, Songs, and Albums.

Offline downloads on the web will count towards YouTube Music’s 10-device download limit. By going to Settings > Downloads, you can clear your offline downloads whenever you want. All downloaded content will also expire if the device is not connected to the internet for at least 20 days.

Now that Google has discontinue its podcast feature and recommended people to use YouTube Music, the download feature was important. People who would like to listen to Podcasts on YouTube Music for the web, they will find the feature really useful.
