Elon Musk’s AI startup xAI has started rolling out its Chatbot Grok to X users. Grok is an AI chatbot similar to ChatGPT and Google Bard. It promises to provide up-to-the-minute information through real-time access to X data.
Grok has been integrated into X and can be accessed via the option added to the side menu on the web, iOS, and Android. For quicker access, X app users can add it to the bottom menu in the mobile apps.

Grok is powered by a generative AI model known as Grok-1. It draws its intelligence from a knowledge base similar to those used by other AI models. Grok can incorporate real-time data from X posts into its responses. So, it can provide current and relevant answers to anything you ask. This feature makes it a more dynamic and responsive chatbot than its competitors. Still, there are questions regarding the accuracy of Grok’s real-time data integration.
Currently, Grok is text-only and cannot understand the content of images or videos. However, xAI has expressed its intentions to enhance the model to handle video, audio, and other forms of content.
X is now rolling out Grok to X Premium Plus subscribers in early access. Premium Plus subscription also provides access to ads-free access to posts, Reply Posts, the option to edit posts, Longer posts, Undo posts, the ability to post longer videos, and more.

Grok’s entry into the AI chatbot segment introduces a new level of personality and real-time responsiveness. While its ability to access real-time X data might appeal to some users, questions about accuracy and the potential for controversy linger. As the AI landscape continues to evolve, Grok’s impact on user engagement and the broader adoption of conversational AI remains to be seen.
