Along with the Pixel 8 series, Google also officially announced Google Pixel Watch 2. The latest Pixel smartwatch comes with several improvements in both design and functionality.
Pixel Watch 2 features a 41mm case size and OLED display. There are now multiple LEDs and photodiodes to take measurements from several angles.
The watch is made of 100% recycled aluminum and has a band made of Fluoroelastomer with a soft-touch coating. It is also 5 ATM water resistant. The watch has a side button, a Haptic crown, and Premium haptics. There is a built-in mic and soaker.
The smartwatch has three different sensors to provide deeper insights into your health. The all-new heart rate sensor with an improved AI heart rate algorithm can provide accurate heart rate readings. Google has also brought Fitbit’s Body Response feature that uses electrodermal activity (cEDA) sensor. It can point to possible signs of stress. The new skin temperature sensor tracks your sleep and monitors for changes in your overall wellness.
Pixel Watch 2 packs a power-efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 processor and runs Wear OS 4. It has 2GB RAM and 32 GB eMMC storage.
Connectivity options are Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz), GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, Quasi-Zenith Satellite, and NFC. There is an optional LTE model. Google also boasts an improved battery life. It packs a 306mAh battery that can provide 24 hours with the always-on display enabled. The watch can be charged up to 50% in 30 minutes and up to 100% in 75 minutes.
Pixel Watch 2 is priced at Rs. Rs. 39,900 and will be available starting October 12. People who also buy. Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro can get a Pixel Watch 2 at Rs. 19,999.
