It seems Google is ready to take on ChatGPT. The company has announced a search and AI event secluded for 8:30 am on February 8.

“We’re reimagining how people search for, explore and interact with information, making it more natural and intuitive than ever before to find what you need. Join us to learn how we’re opening up greater access to information for people everywhere, through Search, Maps and beyond,” says the event’s streaming page video description on YouTube.

We have no idea what Google could launch, but there are a few reports hinting at the possible unveiling or Google’s answer to ChatGPT.

After the launch of OpenAI’s fast-growing ChatGPT, Google is in panic mode and has considered ChatGPT a threat to its search business. Google has been working on a similar chatbot LaMDA. Now is the right time to introduce LaMDA.

Google has been working on AI and different AI tools for years. This event could also talk about a few innovative tools and improvements in existing tools related to Translate, Lens, shopping, and more. It will be interesting to see if Google launches any public product on February 8 or only experimental AI tools.
