Adobe to launch a freemium version of Photoshop for browser

Photoshop for web

Adobe is planning to launch a web version of its popular photo editing tool Photoshop. The company is currently testing the freemium version of Photoshop in Canada. In the coming months, it will be available to wider users. Adobe launched a web-only version of Photoshop and Illustrator last fall but features were very limited. This time the company is planning to bring more tools to make it a complete photo editing online tool.

Adobe says the service is freemium with several free features and some exclusive advanced features for paid subscribers.

Photoshop is considered to be the most advanced Photo editing tool but its mostly license fee is high. This is the reason several web-only free or freemium photo editing software like Pixlr, Canva, PicsArt, and Photopea are really popular. So, Adobe is considering bringing a competitor.

It will also make Photoshop more accessible and bring more users. Many of those users could also think of getting a premium version for advanced features,

Adobe didn’t provide any timeline of when it could launch the freemium version more widely. It also promises to update Photoshop for the web with more tools and bring mobile support.
