Twitter is now testing a new way to post tweets only for select people on the platform. The company calls it Circle. You can make a Circle of your close friends and tweet for Circle. Your tweet will only be visible to people whom you have added to your Circle.

Twitter has also updated the Help Center page to explain how Twitter Circle will work.

“Twitter Circle is a way to send Tweets to select people and share your thoughts with a smaller crowd. You choose who’s in your Twitter Circle, and only the individuals you’ve added can reply to and interact with the Tweets you share in the Circle,” says Twitter.

First of all, you need to create a Circle of your friends. You can add up to 150 people to the Circle. Then you can either post a regular Tweet or a Tweet that is only for Circle.

If someone has added you to a Circle, you cannot remove yourself. You can only mute the conversations if you don’t wish to be a part of them.

The feature is being tested with a limited number of Twitter users. The feature is still in the early stage and we have no information on when the feature could be available to all,
