Google Play Games Beta is now available for Windows PC

Back in December, Google confimed that Google Play Games will come to Windows PCs soon. Now the company has released Google Play Games Beta for PC in South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Google Play Games is a standalone software designed for Windows PCs to play Android games available on the Play Store.

Right now, only a limited games are available to play and there is no way to search for games. This is a beta version, so Google might be testing with a limited games to first see the user expereince. You can also join the waitlist if you want to get notified when Google Play Games is available for you.

Google has also published the minim PC requirements to install the Play Games. You system needs to meet these system requirements.

  • Windows 10 (v2004)
  • Solid state drive (SSD)
  • 20 GB of available storage space
  • Gaming-class GPU
  • 8 logical CPU cores
  • 8 GB of RAM
  • Windows admin account
  • Hardware virtualization must be turned on
  • Compatible PC device and configuration

It is not clear when Google plans to release Google Play Games for other countries. Several people play Android games on Windows PC by using Android emulators. After Google Play Games officially comes, companies that run Android Emulators will surely be disappointed.
