NVIDIA has announced a major update for GeForce NOW with new game additions and improved support for GOG libraries. The cloud gaming service is also expanding its platform support after recently adding official support for Firefox and Linux.
The latest update adds GOG single sign-on support to GeForce NOW. Members can now link their GOG accounts and access supported games from their GOG library with fewer steps.
The new feature is useful for playing GOG games on supported TV platforms. Once a GOG account is linked, users can be automatically signed in instead of going through the login process every time.
NVIDIA is also expanding its Control Resonant promotion to GeForce NOW Ultimate subscribers. Users who purchase a 12-month Ultimate membership before September 27 will receive a Steam copy of the game at no extra cost.
The game was already being offered with select NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards, laptops and systems.
NVIDIA is adding 13 more games to GeForce NOW this week. The list includes new releases as well as several popular games coming through GOG.
The new additions are:
- Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 (Steam)
- Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy (Steam and Xbox, also available through Game Pass)
- STAR WARS Zero Company (EA app and Steam)
- Baldur’s Gate 3 (GOG)
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta Weekend (Battle.net)
- Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (GOG)
- Cold Fear (GOG)
- IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator (Steam)
- Kingdom Come: Deliverance II (GOG)
- Mount & Blade: Bannerlord II (GOG)
- No Man’s Sky (GOG)
- Paradise Killer (Steam)
- The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (GOG)
NVIDIA has also announced that its latest hardware from Valve will receive official GeForce NOW support. This should make the service more useful for users who want to stream their PC game libraries on supported Valve hardware.
It is worth noting that GeForce NOW does not work like Game Pass or EA Play. Users generally need to own the game or have access to it through a supported service such as PC Game Pass before they can stream it through NVIDIA’s cloud servers. GeForce NOW subscriptions also come with monthly usage limits, so users need to keep those limits in mind even after owning the games they want to play.
