The Windows app for Audible is shutting down. The app is no longer available to download. The company has also sent an email to users informing them about the removal of the app. Audible was launched on the Windows platform back in 2015 and was discontinued on January 13th.

“Of course, we want to help you keep listening to your Audible library. Here are a few ways to do just that. You can continue to use your current app to listen until July 31, 2022. After that date, you won’t be able to use your current app to access Audible or your library,” an email sent to customers read.

If you already have the Audible app installed on your Windows system, it will keep working until July 31, 2022. After that, the app will stop working. The company recommends people use Android or iOS app on their phones. If you still want to use Audible on the big screen, visit Audible.com.

It is really surprising to see how the company has decided to remove the app from the Windows store. Several people who own tablets running Windows will surely be disappointed. Although we can still access Audible using the browser, having a dedicated app makes it easier to manage the library.
