Microsoft has finally brought Dolby Vision gaming support to its Xbox Series X / S consoles. It will be available in more than 100 HDR games in the future. Around 10 games will support Dolby Vision at the launch today.

“There are more than 100 next-gen HDR titles optimized for Series X / S that will feature Dolby Vision, and in the future, you’ll see more games like Halo Infinite taking full advantage of Dolby Vision,” said Katie Slattery, an Xbox program manager at Microsoft.

Xbox has supported the HDR10 standard for years but now getting Dolby Vision gaming for the first time. Microsoft is also working with Dolby to bring some off the Dolby Vision benefits to existing HDR10 and Auto HDR games.

To enjoy Dolby Vision Gaming, you must have a Dolby Vision-capable TV with gaming settings like automatic low-latency mode and variable refresh rate. Microsoft claims users will get up to 40 times brighter highlights and 10 times deeper levels of black depending on their TV’s capabilities.
