Apple has unveiled iOS 15 with lots of new updates. One of these notable updates is the offline processing of Siri. That means Siri can now handle many requests without needing an active internet connection. These requests will be processed locally not the devices for a faster and more responsive experience.

Siri’s on-device speech recognition will be available to Apple devices running the A12 Bionic processor or later. So, offline Siri won’t be available to Mac devices.

Offline request processing will offer improved privacy protections. Your voice won’t leave your devices for these requests. So, you can now change device settings, set alarms, open apps, control Audio playback, and more without active internet.

This change will surely help a lot. I also suffer many times when I ask Siri to do something and It fails to act due to slow mobile data.

Offline Siri processing will be available for iPhone and iPad with iOS 15 and iPadOS 15. A few hours back, Apple introduced iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 at WWDC 2021.
